Temples In Ajmer

Nasiyan Jain Temple
Nasiyan Jain Temple, also known as Soniji ki Nasiyan, is a beautiful red colored Jain shrine located on Prithvi Raj Road , in Ajmer, Rajasthan। It was built by Seth Shri Mulchand Soni in 19th century.

The Nasiyan Jain temple located on the Prithvi Raj Marg in Ajmer, it is also known as Red Temple. Dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara Rishabdeoji, the Nasiyan Jain Temple also has a museum of considerable size that displays objects related to Jain beliefs and mythology.

Digambar Jain temple which has a double- storey hall adjacent to the main temple. The hall displays a series of large gold plated wooden figures depicting legends from Jain mythology. The entire hall is richly adorned by glass mosaic, precious stones, gold and silver work. The place is also popularly called Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan.

Constructed in 1865, the main chamber of the Nasiyan Jain Temple consists of a splendid 2-storied hall adorned with wood carved sculptures that depict the Jain concept of the world and worldly affairs.

Brahma Temple
Pushkar is a flourishing temple town full of religious myths and faiths, the biggest attraction being the temple of Lord Brahma-Lord of Creation, this is the only existing temple dedicated to Lord Brahma।

How to Reach : Pushkar is well connected with road and rail. The nearest airport is at Jaipur and the nearest railhead, Ajmer, has regular buses services to most of the cities in Rajasthan.
Significance : It is the only temple of Lord Brahma

Lying beyond the Nagaparvat and Anasagar Lake in Pushkar is the Brahma temple of Rajasthan, India. A popular pilgrimage of Hindus, the Brahma temple, Pushkar is the only temple of Lord Brahma in India. The legend is that Lord Brahma performed a Yagna here, along with all the gods and goddesses. It is also believed that a lotus fell from the hands of Lord Brahma and fell in the valley of Pushkar. Immediately after, Sarovar Lake appeared miraculously at that place.

The Brahma temple is constructed of marble, in southern style. Also, the floor of the temple is decorated with a silver turtle. The temple houses a statue of Lord Brahma in a palthi (seated) position. The temple also comprises of an image of Lord Vishnu, life sized dwarpals (door men) and Garuda pillars (a mythical bird, in gold)
