Ana Sagar Lake In Ajmer
Ana Sagar Lake is an artificial lake named after Anaji Chauhan। The catchments were built with the help of local populace.

The beautiful artificial Anasagar Lake, located to the north of the Ajmer city, was made in 12th century by building a dam across the river Luni, named after the then ruler Anaji Chauhan. This lake was built by Anaji during 1135-1150 AD. Later, the Mughal emperors made additional constructions to beautify the lake. The 'Baradari', a marble pavilion was built by Shah Jahan and the Daulat Bagh Gardens was laid by Jehangir. This lake is located towards the north of Ajmer.
