Rajasthan Desert Festival Tour

Day 01 Arrival at Delhi


You will be received at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi from where you will get the transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. You will get the tour details once again at dinner.



Day 02 Old Delhi


Explore the Old Delhi after breakfast. The highlights of the day are Red Fort; a rickshaw ride in the narrow streets of Chandani Chowk, which is an old market where you can taste delicacies and do shopping; Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 03 New Delhi


View the treasures for New Delhi designed by Lutyens in British era as a well-planned city and wide roads. See Rajpath that leads you from war memorial India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan, Mughal Gardens, Embassies and modern market of Connaught Circus. You will also see Qutub Minar, Iron Pillar of Mehrauli and Humayun's Tomb. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 04 Agra


In the morning, drive to Agra, where you will check in at the hotel for arrival. Visit the white marble Taj Mahal famous all over the world Agra Fort, Idmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb and Sikandra. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.



Day 05 Jaipur


Drive to Jaipur, the Pink City, in the morning. Go in an excursion trip to Amber Fort and enjoy the regal elephant ride there. Shish Mahal, full of mirror work and Palace of Maharaja Man Singh, who had twelve queens are just two of the chief attractions of the fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 06 Jaipur


Go on a sightseeing tour of Jaipur, the Pink City, after breakfast. The highlights of the tour will be 18th century astronomical observatory known as Jantar Mantar with huge masonry instruments that are accurate to this day, the City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur, which serves as a private residence, heritage hotel and the royal palace museum offering a rich collection of paintings, costumes, jewelry, arms and ammunitions. Savor the traditional Rajasthani cuisine served in traditional Rajasthani style at lunch. Spend the evening at leisure or go for shopping in the colorful bazaars to look for some souvenirs to buy. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 07 Ajmer


In the morning, drive to Ajmer, where you can visit the holy Dargah Sharief or tomb of the great Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chisti and Akbar's Palace, where Sir Thomas Roe had obtained permission from Emperor Jehangir to trade with India, which proved to be a grave political error later. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 08 Jodhpur


In the morning, drive to Jodhpur where you will check in at the hotel for overnight stay. Get a glimpse of harsh and barren desert land on the drive. Pay a visit to the Jain Temple complex of Ranakpur enroute.



Day 09 Jaisalmer


Drive to Jaisalmer in the morning, where you will check in at the hotel. Visit the oldest living for of Jaisalmer, its famous ornate Havelis that have beautiful carvings, Gadisar Lake, the annual Desert Festival with several events such as cultural, dance, song and music folk performances, camel races and unique contests and sunset views of Sam Sand Dunes. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 10 Khimsar


After breakfast, drive to Khimsar, where you will check in at the hotel. See the Khimsar Fort, which has massive and huge walls and many structures and monuments within its premises that are worth a visit. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 11 Bikaner


Drive to Bikaner and check in at the hotel on arrival. Visit the Junagarh Fort and Camel Breeding Farm and other palaces and parks in the city. Savor the famous Bikaneri snacks and sweets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bikaner.



Day 12 Shekhawati


Drive to Shekhawati region, where you will check in at the hotel for overnight stay. Visit the painted Havelis of rich merchants in the region with some stunning frescoes and Mandawa Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 13 Delhi


After breakfast, drive back to Delhi and check in at the hotel. Go for shopping in Connaught Place and Palika Bazaar or spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.



Day 14 Departure From Delhi


In the morning, you will get the transfer to the Indira Gandhi Airport, from where you can catch the flight to onward destination.

Day 01: New Delhi
Welcome to India! On arrival you will be transferred and assisted till your room in your hotel. Remaining day at leisure.

Day 02 : New Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast move out for a daylong sightseeing of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), which includes the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk & Jama Masjid among other attractions. Later after lunch drive past impressive boulevards and buildings such as President's Residence and others in Lutyen's Delhi (New Delhi). Evening free to move around the busy Connaught Place.

Day 03 : Bagar
Reach the Shekhawati town, Bagar by road. Walking tour of the town to see some of its frescoed "havelies" (mansions).

Day 04 : Bagar
Excursion to Nawalgarh and Mandawa towns - the towns having some of the best frescoes. Traditional Rajasthani lunch in a village.

Day 05 : Bikaner
Reach Bikaner-the camel city. Visit the well-preserved Junagarh Fort. In the evening visit the unique camel-breeding farm.

Day 06 : Jaisalmer
Drive to Jaisalmer. On arrival transfer on camels to desert camp in a village outside Jaisalmer to spend the day in rustic desert atmosphere. Night stay in desert camp.

Day 07 : Jaisalmer
Transfer to Jaisalmer city and check in. Sightseeing of various attractions of the town including a walk in the fort and lanes of the town below.

Day 08 : Jodhpur

Drive through desert landscape with brief halts at Kheechan (haven for migratory Demoiselle Cranes) and Osian village (ancient trading town famous for its superbly carved temples). At Jodhpur visit old markets around Clock Tower.

Day 09 : Jodhpur
Half day jeep safari to Bishnoi villages to see the sincere concerns shown by Bishnoi community for environmental conservation. Back at Jodhpur, visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Optional dinner at Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Day 10 : Kumbhalgarh

After visiting the temples of Ranakpur en route, reach Kumbhalgarh - a beautiful location nestled in forested hills encompassing an impregnable fort. Option of visiting the fort or the wildlife sanctuary.

Day 11 : Udaipur
Drive to Udaipur and check in. At Udaipur take boat trip over Lake Pichhola at sunset. Optional dinner at Shiv Niwas Palace.

Day 12 : Udaipur
Day sightseeing of City Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari, Eklingji and Nagda. Evening entertainment at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal.

Day 13 : Dungarpur
At Dungarpur stay in the most amazing suites of a palace still inhabited by the royal family - a rare opportunity to be entertained by the royal family and closely see the princely lifestyle. Day free for leisure. Visit the stunning interiors of Juna Mahal Palace. Walk around the town in free time. This place has largest concentration of Bhil tribal population in Rajasthan.

Day 14 : Bijaipur
Reach Bijaipur and check in its rustic castle. Visit the most impressive Chittaur Fort, historically known for its fierce battles and bloody sacrifices.

Day 15 : Kota
Picturesque drive to Kota through ruined temple towns of Menal and Bijoliyan. At Kota take a half-day sightseeing trip of the palace and the museum.

Day 16 : Kota

Day excursion to charming fort city Bundi. Or Day excursion to Baroli temple ruins and Bhensrorgarh. Or Day excursion to Jhalarapatan fortified city, Sun temple and Gagron fort.

Day 17 : Ranthambhore
Reach Sawai Madhopur and check in. Take a jungle safari in jeeps to see the rare Indian tigers in full glory at the Ranthambhore National Park.

Day 18 : Ranthambhore
After early morning safari in National Park day left free to immerse in the wilderness of Ranthambhore.

Day 19 : Pushkar
At the holiest city of Rajasthan, take a pleasant walk on the street around the sacred pond and ghats upto Brahma temple. Entire day free to explore the spiritual facets of the town on own.

Day 20 : Jaipur
After arrival at Jaipur, take a city sightseeing trip. In the evening walk through many interesting lanes of Jaipur, which are full of shops of artisans, temples and traditional houses.

Day 21 : Jaipur- Neemrana
Morning walking tour of some interesting streets and squares of the Pink City to catch glimpses of the habitual patterns of its people which even includes attending heart-rending prayers at Sri Govind Devji temple. Elephant ride to Amber fort during the day. Visit to a farmhouse for local Rajasthani dinner.

Day 22 : Neemrana
After a pleasant drive reach Neemrana Fort and check in. The day is left free to relax and appreciate the strong character the fort reflects. Option of visiting the village downhill.

Day 23 : Departure
Drive to New Delhi for last minute shopping and at appropriate time transfer to international airport for your flight back home. The tour ends.
