Shahpura House Jaipur

In 1956, Rao Dhir Singh, created the Shahpura House, once the residence of erstwhile rulers and scion of the Shekhawat clan of Rajputs.

Shahpura House, the famous Classic Heritage hotel of Jaipur, is located in Banipur. The main building of this hotel is actually a Haveli(traditional house of the Rajput kings) that was constructed by Rao Dhir Singh in the year 1956. Although the hotel is situated in the Pink city of Jaipur, yet it relates to an ancient town called the Shahpura, about 65 kms from the Pink city. Shahpura was the head seat of the Shakawat clan of the Rajput dynasty.
