Albert Hall Museum is also known as the Central Museum and is the oldest museum of Rajasthan. It was built in 1886 A.D in honor of the King Edward VII visit to Jaipur. It is located in the beautiful premises of Ram Niwas Bagh (garden) in Jaipur. The famous architect Colonel Sir Swinton Jacob designed it. He even designed other palaces of Rajasthan. Its Indo-Saracenic style of architecture is simply incredible. The ground floor galleries of the museum were given a face lift in 1959. Here you can see the beautiful and rare dresses and jewelry of the bygone era starting from royal Rajputs to tribes like Bhils and Mina. One gallery is dedicated to Mehndi (Henna) body art and great Rajasthani motifs and designs are on display.

Here, Tourists can find Historic articles like textiles, carpets, paintings, metal and, blue pottery, arms and weapons, brass wares, pottery, natural stones, ivory goods, metal sculptures and crystal items are on display. An Egyptian Mummy that belongs to the Ptolemaic Epoch and an outstanding Persian Garden Carpet that is among India's finest art treasures, are the pride of the Albert Hall Museum Jaipur.
